 Morning joe, I had a question about the taxes on the self storage facility at 200 E. north street that is currently for sale. I’ve contact the broker in charge of the listing and he has stated the current taxes on the self storage facility were $10,700. He noted that the taxes will be dropping to about 6-7k on the next assessment/appeal per the assessors office. I just wanted to confirm or get information about this as I’m interested in purchasing the property. Note that there is also a strip mall stretched to this address that is also for sale (I will only be interested in purchasing the self storage facility). Could you please give me any insight on this?  Joe - could you please email me information about how my property taxes will be assessed after the purchase of the self storage unit on 200 E front street (just the storage facility not strip mall) I know we talked on the phone before, but I was confused as to how the taxes would be "assessed" after the purchase and going forward. I believe you stated that they would be based on profit/loss statements rather then the value of the property. Could you please confirm and give me a break down of how i could calculate this to make sure i dont go belly up. Im very interested in purchasing and running a nice clean facility in the community.

 Joe, I updated the information with the address in subject (just the storage facility) which has a current tax rate of $10,700. You stated before that the taxes should drop a good amount with the subject being sold below market value (lets say 225k). Going forward, how would the taxes on this subject property (just the storage yard) be taxed and how could i figure that out? I believe you stated its on a profit/loss evaluation, and not the market value of the land? Could you please explain this to me once more, im in serious talks about closing on the property and want to make sure the tax amounts are correct (and dont skyrocket after purchasing) for my calculations in running a nice clean storage yard for the community.
