 Hello. I recently purchased a new construction home in the prairie trails subdivision off rte 52 by distinctive home builders. We closed on the house in November 2016. We just received our first tax bill and I noticed the homestead exemption was not on there. I was wondering who or where I could go to get that added. Any help would be greatly appreciated.   Good Morning! I was hoping I might be able to help us with a few questions we have about a piece of property we are possibly interested in? The seller has given us a survey of the 10 acre parcel. We are interested in building a house along with a building on it, but were told that Only one acre can be designated for building on. I am just going to list the questions I have, and if you can reply back with answers to any of them or even give us a call we would appreciate it greatly! We are meeting the seller later this afternoon to walk the property again. It is heavily wooded with trees, and we of course Would like to keep that and also look into the other programs with preserving the land. Ray the seller had mentioned there are programs to help lower the taxes also, and not sure who to contact to get the information on that to see how to qualify? Neither of us have a realtor and never buying land, I am not sure where to begin with questions? Thanks in advance with any help! Here goes the questions!!! PIN # 14-12-14-400-016-000 The Plat we have dated 1-28-03 by REITER & Assoc says the PIN # is: 12-14-400-003(PART) but I wasn't able to pull up anything so I used the one above. This is the Neighbors Address: 13150 Monee Manhattan Road, Prarie Creek Tree Farm WHAT IS THIS ZONED AS? Agr. Farm or Residential? Was this lot legally divided? Is there an updated Plat? The one I have was done in 2003. Would the flood plains or anything else on this lot change over the last 14 years? Or have improvements been made. Are there any NON buildable areas on this property? Are there any restrictions with building on this property? House size, height, lot coverage etc Are there restrictions WHERE a house and building be built on this property? What are the setback requirements for houses, porches, decks, outbuildings or anything else that we want to build? What is the least/most square footage the house be that we want to build? Can the property eventually be divided? Are there any future road changes to Monee Manhattan Road? IF it gets widened, would they take any of the easement from this property? I know there are gas lines under the easement, would it matter WHERE a drive way is put in? Quite a bit of the property beyond the creek is flood plain, what can we do with that part? Storage?
